Bolon opens first showroom in Australia
Having led the journey of transforming their family flooring business into an innovative global design empire, Marie and Annica Eklund will launch the first Bolon Showroom in Australia in partnership with The Andrews Group on Thursday 12 March in Sydney.
“After 15 years of working with The Andrews Group to deliver innovative flooring solutions to Australian Architects and Designers, we’re thrilled to support the expansion of Bolon in the region with a Showroom in Sydney, our first in Australia.
We look forward to offering a space where Designers and Architects can truly experience the Bolon brand and share ideas in a collaborative and inspiring environment.” says Marie Eklund, CEO Bolon.
The flexible space will showcase Bolon’s full range of collections and collaborations and become a hub of design where tactile flooring and artistic installations serve as a backdrop for a rotating program of exhibitions, workshops, lectures and dinners.
“Our new Sydney showroom is a workshop, which extends upon the concept of a traditional showroom to include food, hospitality and community, and where guests are treated to a fully immersive experience of the Bolon world.” explains Mark Andrews, Managing Director of The Andrews Group.
A new hub for design in Sydney
The Bolon Showroom in Sydney is a space for designers, architects and enthusiasts to meet and exchange ideas. Bolon draws on its collaborative approach to design, which includes partnerships with Jean Nouvel, Missoni, Doshi Levien, Cappellini and more, to promote creativity around its flooring. The Bolon Showroom will provide a new space to meet, enjoy a coffee, share ideas and plans, and receive advice and support from Bolon experts.
A place for experimentation, innovation and play
Workshops and talks invite guests behind the scenes of Bolon’s intensive research and development process. At Bolon, environmental, social and material standards are continually examined and improved, providing a platform to share knowledge with architects and designers. Bolon is highly responsive to the needs of its community, and products are constantly developed to better serve clients in their quest for innovation, flexibility and visual identity. The Bolon Showroom is a place where ideas flow freely, and visitors are treated to the latest in product development.
Community and hospitality
Building a community among designers, industry leaders, experts and manufacturers is an integral part of Bolon’s DNA, and the new Bolon Showroom in Sydney extends upon this sense of community. Like guests of Bolon’s guesthouses in the Swedish countryside and town of Ulricehamn, visitors to will also be treated like members of the family. Visitors are encouraged to make themselves at home in the Bolon world and to interact with the products on display.
Located at 76 Oxford St, Paddington, the showroom will open on Thursday, 12 March. The showroom will be open from Monday to Friday by appointment.
