On Thursday, 14 May 2026, we welcomed architects and designers to CIRCL Restaurant, Melbourne, to celebrate the launch of BKB — Bolon’s very first flooring collection and a pioneering new way of weaving floors.
It was an evening defined by warmth, conversation, craftsmanship and quiet luxury — a true reflection of the collection itself.
A New Chapter for Bolon
Bolon has always been a house of innovators. With BKB, we didn’t simply introduce a new collection — we reimagined what flooring can be. Woven in our factory in Ulricehamn, Sweden, and designed by our in-house team, BKB is built on decades of knowledge, craftsmanship and curiosity.
Long before the term Quiet Luxury entered the design lexicon, its essence shaped BKB. Since 1993, soft neutrals — beige, grey, brown and black — have formed the foundation of the collection. Today, those timeless tones continue to define BKB’s calm, natural aesthetic.
Comprising twelve articles, the collection creates contemporary spaces that feel warm, cohesive and welcoming. Its restrained palette and architectural clarity allow it to be used seamlessly across large areas, bringing unity to spaces of all sizes.
The Event
Set against the backdrop of Melbourne’s city lights, CIRCL Restaurant provided the perfect setting to introduce BKB to Australia’s design community.
Guests stepped into an environment that embodied the collection’s spirit — serene interiors, tactile warmth and thoughtful detail. Throughout the evening, architects and designers connected over curated displays of the collection, experiencing firsthand the texture, depth and versatility of the woven floors.
The atmosphere was relaxed yet refined — an extension of the quiet confidence that defines BKB.
A Swedish-Inspired Culinary Experience
To complement the launch, guests enjoyed a specially curated Swedish-designed menu. Guided by the same principles of craftsmanship, restraint and considered detail, the dining experience celebrated Swedish design in both form and flavour.
Each course echoed the philosophy behind BKB: simplicity elevated through quality materials, precision and care.
